Funism's Pikachu and Friends series pairs everyone's favourite electric mouse with one other Pokémon, sculpts the two of them mid-moment, and then — this is the bit that gets people — won't tell you which pair you're getting until the box is open.

There are eight. Psyduck under a parasol at the beach, with Pikachu in sunglasses. Vulpix under a street lamp in the autumn leaves. Piplup building a snowman. Squirtle on a fountain. Mimikyu in a cobwebbed old library, which is exactly as unsettling as it sounds. Jigglypuff mid-song. Rowlet in a doorway. And Ditto in a gilt mirror, doing a Pikachu impression that isn't quite right.

No secret figure, no ultra-rare, no one-in-a-hundred chase. Eight designs, all equally likely. We think that's the right call — chase figures are how a blind box quietly turns into a slot machine.
