Who are Kayou?
Kayou (卡游) started in China in 2011 and released its first licensed card range, Ultraman, in 2018. Its first trading card series followed a year later, and the company now holds licences with close to a hundred global franchises — Naruto, My Little Pony, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Harry Potter, Marvel and DC among them.
What makes Kayou different from a game like Pokémon or Magic is that the cards are designed for collecting, not competitive play. There are no tournaments to enter and no deck to build. People buy Kayou for the artwork, the finishes and the fun of opening packs.
How Kayou rarities work
Each Kayou set runs a ladder of rarity tiers, with the code printed directly on the card. Beyond the base cards you'll find tiers such as SR, SSR, SP, ZR and OR, plus extras that are specific to a particular franchise or wave. The top-tier cards are where Kayou has built its reputation: thick foiling, embossed and textured surfaces, gold detailing and full-art frames.
Tier names and pull rates differ between series, so the box itself is the best guide for any given set.

Yes. Kayou manufactures under formal licence from the rights holders — its Naruto range, for instance, is licensed via the anime's production studio. These are official products, not bootlegs or fan reprints.
What language are Kayou cards printed in?
Kayou's home-market product is Simplified Chinese, and English-language editions have been rolling out as the brand expands into Western markets. Each product page states the language for that specific item.
Are Kayou cards suitable for children?
Age guidance varies by product and is printed on the packaging, but the cards themselves are straightforward collectables — ranges like My Little Pony are aimed squarely at younger collectors, while others suit older fans of the source anime.

Top-tier Kayou chase cards have an active resale market and are increasingly sent for grading. That said, collectable values rise and fall — we'd always say collect the series you enjoy first, and treat value as a bonus.
