Pokémon 30th Celebration: UK Release Dates and Products
30th Celebration starts arriving on 16 September. Here's the bit that catches everyone out, though — it doesn't all turn up at once. The launch products come first, a second wave lands on 2 October, and then it keeps trickling out through 30 October, 6 November and 4 December.
Fifteen products, five dates, nearly three months. It's a lot. So below is the whole English lineup, what's genuinely inside each box, and our honest opinion on each product.
Quick bit of context first: this is the anniversary set, so it's built around nostalgia rather than the competitive format. Thirty different Pikachu run through it, the Legendary birds are back, and the artist YOSHIROTTEN has done the Futuristic Rares plus a run of foil Basic Energy.

When each bit actually arrives
Good news to start with: these are worldwide dates, so we're on exactly the same schedule as everybody else. None of that waiting an extra month while the rest of the world opens things, which those of us who collected through the nineties remember rather too well.

Worth knowing if you're budgeting. The Booster Bundle doesn't appear until October. So if you want a decent stack of packs on release day itself, the Elite Trainer Box is genuinely your only sensible option. This catches somebody out every single time a set launches.
What's actually inside each box
The standard Elite Trainer Box. Out 16 September, and the one we'd point most people at.
The ETB gives you nine booster packs, a Nidorina promo, sixteen foil Basic Energy and the usual accessories. Sixteen foil energies is unusually generous, and because YOSHIROTTEN illustrated them they're an actual reason to want the box rather than the bit you tip into a drawer and forget about. The Pokémon Center version comes with two Nidorina promos, one stamped and one not, for anyone who cares about that sort of thing. Plenty do.
Further down the range there's a lot to like. The Poster Collection has three packs, the three Legendary bird promos and a two-sided poster. The Tech Sticker Collection is another three packs with either an Alolan Exeggutor or a Lucario foil promo. The Pokémon ex Box gets you four packs and either Sylveon ex or Greninja ex with an oversize card. And the Knock Out Collection and 2-Pack Blister are both two packs with a foil Eevee promo and a coin — pleasant little pick-ups rather than anything you'd plan an evening around.
The 2 October wave — Booster Bundle, Binder Collection, and those Day & Night mini tins.
October brings the Binder Collection, which pairs a nine-pocket portfolio with five packs, and the Booster Bundle at six packs. The Day & Night Mini Tins hold two packs each with a sticker sheet and an art card — and if you need a present for a small person who likes Pokémon, look no further, they're perfect for it. Then the Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks on 30 October are all-foil sixty-card decks with a deck box, coin, playmat and either a Victini or a Zeraora promo.
November is where it gets expensive. Brace yourself. The Ultra-Premium Collections carry twenty-nine booster packs plus a Classic Collection pack, a playmat, sleeves, a deck box and promos pairing Pikachu ex with either Espeon ex or Umbreon ex — and there are two versions, because of course there are. The Ditto Premium Collection is eight packs with an acrylic display and a Ditto promo, and the Mewtwo and Mew Figure Collections are five packs each with a sculpted figure and an oversize card.
Day with Espeon ex, Night with Umbreon ex. Both 6 November, and good luck picking one.

The cards everyone's actually after
The headline is the thirty Pikachu — one for each year of the game. Nineteen have been shown so far, including one drawn by Ken Sugimori and a Day and Night pair of Pikachu ex special illustration rares. Reshiram, Zekrom, Unown and Drifloon have appeared too, and Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres show up as promos in the Poster Collection as well as in the set itself.

YOSHIROTTEN's work is a departure from the usual house style, and cards that look unlike anything else in their era have a real habit of being the ones still holding up once a set's long out of print. And if you're near a PokémonXP event between 28 and 30 August, they're giving one of the set's foil Basic Energy away at random while stocks last. Same card you can pull from a pack, so it's a lovely thing to have rather than a scarce one.
So which one should you get?
The Ditto Premium Collection — eight packs and an acrylic display, 6 November.
For most people: the Elite Trainer Box. Nine packs, the foil energies and the accessories make it the best balance of cards to money anywhere in the range, and you can have it on day one. When someone asks us what to get and doesn't want a fifteen-minute conversation about it, that's the answer we give.
If it's purely packs you want, hold on for the Booster Bundle on 2 October. And if there's one specific card you're after rather than the thrill of the pull — the dull, correct answer is to buy the single once the set has settled, ideally graded, and skip sealed entirely. Anniversary sets get opened hard in the first fortnight and prices on the big cards usually soften once that rush burns itself out. Dull. Correct. Sorry.
The Ultra-Premium Collections are the showpiece, and we'll happily admit to being a bit smitten. Thirty packs in one box, one of them a Classic Collection pack, makes a proper centrepiece, and Ultra-Premium boxes from previous sets have held up nicely sealed. It is a great deal of money in one go, mind, and having two versions splits the market. Go in with your eyes open and it's a lovely thing to own.
What usually happens to anniversary sets
They sell through quickly, then get awkward to find at sensible money. Celebrations is the obvious one — the 25th anniversary set from 2021, everywhere you looked at launch, and five years on it's still among the most asked-after sets there is. People are still hunting it down now.
The pattern repeats often enough that we'd say this: if a particular 30th Celebration product genuinely matters to you, sort it early rather than late. Not a hard sell, just something we've watched happen enough times to mention.
One last thing that's easy to miss. China gets two exclusives on that same 16 September date — a Charizard figure box with a jumbo holo card, and a thirteen-figure Pikachu set. When does Pokémon 30th Celebration release in the UK?
First products land worldwide on 16 September 2026, so we get them the same day everyone else does. Further waves follow on 2 October, 30 October, 6 November and 4 December 2026.
Is there a 30th Celebration booster box?
No standard booster box has been announced, which has gone down badly with a fair few people. The Booster Bundle at six packs on 2 October and the Ultra-Premium Collection at thirty packs on 6 November are your pack-heavy options instead.
Which 30th Celebration product is best value?
The Elite Trainer Box for most people — nine packs, sixteen foil energies and the accessories, available from day one. The Booster Bundle works out cheaper per pack if you can hold your nerve until October.
